Registration Now Open

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for The Place of Public Service Broadcasting at the University of York on the 4th of July, 2013.

This conference will examine the rapidly changing nexus of concerns around the role of public service broadcasting in an era marked by the advent of digital distribution, the expansion of bandwidth and, arguably, the diminishing importance of the national as a locus of identity for broadcasters and audiences.

The event will showcase the contributions of academics from various disciplinary backgrounds as well as a roundtable featuring practitioners discussing their experiences with and ideas about public service broadcasting and an ECREA sponsored panel on changing technology and public service broadcasting.

We are also pleased to be featuring keynote addresses from Professor Petros Iosifidis and Dr James Bennet.

Anyone wishing for more information on the event, please visit our website, where you will find everything you need to know about transport to the event and local accommodation, along with a draft program.

If you wish to register your interest or confirm your attendance, please use the online form on the registration page of this site.

If you have any further questions, please email Dr Martin Zeller-Jacques (marty.zeller-jacques@york.ac.uk) or Dr Hannah Andrews (hannah.andrews@york.ac.uk).

We look forward to welcoming you to York this July.
